Our Candles
Handmade with care. Designed to be admired.
Every CandlesCo candle is individually handmade in our Perth studio using 100% soy wax.
Our sculptural candles are created first and foremost as decorative pieces — designed to bring a little beauty, texture and personality into your home. They can also be burned, but unlike traditional candles poured into a jar or vessel, sculptural candles have their own unique way of melting.
The Beauty of a Sculptural Burn
When you choose to light your sculptural candle, expect it to change.
As the wax warms, your candle may melt, drip, pool or burn unevenly. Some designs may create beautiful wax trails down the sides, while others may melt more quickly or dramatically.
This is completely normal for freestanding sculptural candles and is not considered a product fault.
No two burns will ever be exactly the same.
The way your candle burns can be influenced by its shape, size, wick, room temperature, airflow, drafts and surrounding environment. Because there is no vessel to contain the melted wax, sculptural candles will naturally behave very differently from jar candles.
Designed for Display
Our sculptural candles are primarily designed as decorative display pieces, with the option to be burned.
Many of our customers choose to enjoy their candle as part of their home décor without ever lighting it. If you do decide to burn yours, its appearance will naturally change as the wax melts.
Burning Your Sculptural Candle
Always place your candle on a large, flat, heat-resistant tray or dish before lighting. The tray should be large enough to catch dripping and pooled wax.
Trim the wick to approximately 5 mm before each burn, keep the candle away from drafts, and never leave a burning candle unattended.
Keep burning candles away from children, pets, curtains and other flammable materials.
A Little Beautifully Imperfect 🤍
Part of what makes handmade sculptural candles special is that they aren’t designed to burn with the perfectly contained melt pool of a jar candle.
They drip. They melt. They change shape.
Each burn is unique — and that’s part of the natural beauty of a sculptural candle.
